Perfume bottles

In 1905, François Coty was so impressed by René LALIQUE’s designs that he invited him to put his technical skills and artistic talents to use for the perfume industry, with an instinct that what he predicted would be “a business the world has never seen before”. So, René LALIQUE designed perfume bottles, firstly for Coty, then for Roger & Gallet, Forvil, Houbigant, Gabilla, Molyneux, d’Orsay, Molinard, Worth and other leading perfume houses of the 20s and 30s.

CRYSTAL PERFUME BOTTLES LALIQUE :

CRYSTAL PERFUME BOTTLES LALIQUE, In 1905, François Coty was so impressed by René LALIQUE’s designs that he invited him to put his technical skills and artistic talents to use for the perfume industry, with an instinct that what he predicted would be “a business the world has never seen before”. So, René LALIQUE designed perfume bottles, firstly for Coty, then for Roger & Gallet, Forvil, Houbigant, Gabilla, Molyneux, d’Orsay, Molinard, Worth and other leading perfume houses of the 20s and 30s.

The decoration of the bottles evoked the scents they contained, and although these bottles were mass-produced, the skill and inspiration of the artist made these bottles into full-fledged works of art. The technological and commercial revolution which René Lalique initiated, whose influence can still be felt today, was fully in line with the principles of “Art Nouveau”, which brought together Art and Industry.

♦ LALIQUE PERFUME BOTTLE COLLECTION :

For the Coquillage perfume bottle, Art Nouveau decors inspired René lalique to design many incredible bottles for perfume makers. A finely fluted sell in clear or opal satin finished crystal, adorns this bottle. Because of its original shape, the bottle can also be used as an inkwell.
