ADDITIONNAL INFORMATIONS

Discover Caracal head Daum By Isabelle Carabantes.

For this second collaboration with Daum, Isabelle Carabantes invites us to discover the impressive beauty of an animal mainly located in Africa and Asia: the Caracal. Isabelle Carabantes was born in 1965 in Paris. She learned sculpture in different workshops and studied modeling from live models, working on volumes in space, axes and planes, at the Beaux Arts de Paris workshops. The artist who mainly focuses on the animal world, does not choose to work as a naturalist. After having previously studied the anatomy and social life of her subjects, she deviates from it for a spontaneous realization.

The artist captures an emotion, a moment of life, and restores the wild expression of the so-called Desert Lynx. Recognizable by its long slender ears, it seems to observe us with its piercing and expressive gaze. The transparency of crystal and its meticulously elaborated play of texture reveal its unpredictable nature.
The artist pays tribute to the animal with a realistic work elaborated with the lost wax technique perfectly mastered by the Daum craftsmen.

The Caracal is a limited edition of 75 pieces.
