Crystal has been a perpetual source of wonder for him, with its translucency and transparency, which led him to collaborate with Daum in the 1990s. “Premier Pas” and “Ensemble” appear as a syncretism of his two material-passions: bronze and glass, as well as his love of technical challenge. Indeed, the characters seem to be born out of a raw block of crystal, involving real alchemy with bronze. Another of his collaborations, “La Femme Acrobate”, illustrates this flamboyant alliance of light and movement, through a sparkling blue body vibrant with vitality.

DOMINIQUE DARDEK :

Unclassifiable, multifaceted, curious, without limits … The painter Dominique Dardek quickly turned to design and sculpture in bronze or glass, attracted by the technical prowess and the sensuality of volumes. With his knife work he draws perfect drapes and profoundly human bodies, with their fragility and evocative power.
